SHERYL M. MOXEY
Executive Director
The Council of the Bahamas Institute of Chartered Accountants (BICA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Sheryl M. Moxey as the Executive Director of the Institute effective February 5, 2024.
Ms. Moxey is a long time member of the Institute, qualifying as a member of the ACCA with the legacy firm Coopers & Lybrand. Over her career, she has served on a number of committees, in particular an original member of the Grand Bahama Committee, and most recently on the Continuing Professional Development Committee.
In her role as the Executive Director, Ms. Moxey will be responsible for, among other things, operational oversight of the Secretariat, along with assisting the Council in strategic leadership, stakeholder engagement and moving the Institute forward in the challenging and changing landscape of the profession.

Mrs. Nadia Bain has been a member of BICA since 2003. She qualified as a CPA while working at the Firm, Ernst & Young where she enjoyed and started her career in the field of Audit and Accounting in January 2000. Since leaving EY, she has worked in a few industries, inclusive of Hotel, Trust Companies and Insurance.
She joined BICA’s Secretariat in May 2023 in a part-time Consulting capacity and in this role, is responsible for the day-to-day operations with an oversight of Membership and Licensee applications, Membership records and planning and execution of Continuing and Professional Development (CPD) Seminars, along with the CPD Committee of which she is a member.
She is the wife of Mr. Darren Bain and mother to two wonderful children, Alyssa & Peyton.

Joy joined BICA in June 2023. Prior to that she had worked at The Nassau Guardian spending a number of years at the Freeport News in Grand Bahama. Within the Secretariat, Joy deals with the dissemination of direct communication with members and the administrative tasks that assist in the smooth running of the office. She also is responsible for applications for new Licensees and restorations of licenses.

Admin StaffCamryn is a 2020 graduate of Kingsway Academy and joined BICA in August 2023.His main role is to assist with Member Services, such as membership applications for new applicants and Member restorations and he provides administrative support for all CPD seminars. Camryn plans to further his education in the area of Financial Services.

Latorinique Bevans although born in Nassau, grew up on the island of Andros. She joined BICA in November 2023, just in time for Accountants’ Week. She has responsibility for the BICA website, public relations and the facilitation of social media content. Latorinique is interested in writing and Graphic Design.
